Getting out of your comfort zone

For three days, the goal was to take the athletes out of their usual environment by exposing them to a wide range of activities. According to Skogen Sprang (U.S. freeskiing, coach- slopestyle), there are some similarities between trampoline-wall and skiing like jumping, catching in the air and… working on your fear.

He tells us the workshops that challenged the athletes the most were the acting class and dance lesson. The experience was rewarding for everyone.

In the context of a training workshop with the ski team, some skiers were introduced to bungee jumping, trampoline and more. They even took a makeup class. Once again, the goal was to take these athletes out of their comfort zone. Mission accomplished!

When we try something new, we emerge and start learning. Then, we transition towards our own sport and that’s when we make a breakthrough and start doing new things.
